New Year means new improvements for your home?
5 January 2018
Before we get on with our first Blog of 2018, we wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy New Year. We trust you had a suitably festive Christmas break!
We’re already back into the swing of things here at David Salisbury, ready to design and manufacture more of our award-winning orangeries and conservatories. January is always an exceptionally busy month for new enquiries as potential new customers have some time to consider their home improvement plans over the holiday period.
Alongside this, we’re processing what was a record month for new orders during December. This was an exceptional performance by our team of experienced sales designers, who cover the whole of the country.
We’re really excited about what 2018 will bring, as we have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline and our order book is already well stocked.
From a residential perspective, research from Nationwide is suggesting that this year will be broadly similar in terms of house price growth and overall volumes of transactions – with lack of supply the main factor that is keeping prices maintained or marginally increasing in some parts of the county. Indeed, similar research from Halifax is suggesting that the continued “rise in home improvement projects is being driven by the higher associated costs in moving.”
So now we’re into the New Year, is it time to improve your home rather than consider a move? A building extension is a guaranteed way of adding value to your home – particularly if it incorporates a kitchen extension, the specific improvement project that will do most to increase the value of your home.
Adding a quality timber orangery, garden room or oak extension is the next on the list in terms of property added value. But, that said, we’re about far more than just the value of your ‘investment.’
We make our orangeries and conservatories for enjoyment – we enjoy making them and we want you to enjoy using them for life!
So if the New Year sees you considering a building extension, start by ordering our brochure for some inspirational reading. Then take advantage of our complimentary design consultation where we visit you at your home and can start to discuss your design dreams and aspirations.
Here’s to a happy 2018 and a successful home improvement project if you’re considering one!
