In case it wasn’t already in your diary, National Gardening Week is running from the 2nd to 8th May 2022 here in the UK.
Organised by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the UK’s leading gardening charity, this event has been growing in popularity since its first celebration in 2012, seeing more and more people share their enjoyment of gardening and gardens in general.
David Salisbury has been a long-time supporter of the RHS, over the years, via our advertising in The Garden magazine. As designers and manufacturers of timber garden rooms, we are fortunate enough to work on properties all around the country, many of which include the most eye-catching gardens.
So, in the spirit of National Gardening Week, here is a selection of some of our favourite gardens, from the thousands of orangeries and garden room projects that we have successfully completed in recent years.
Colourful Gardens
This bespoke orangery below has featured regularly in David Salisbury’s advertising campaigns, for good reason, with these vibrant colours.
The blooming alliums stand out against the backdrop of the light painted timber orangery, whilst the mauve colours of the vigorous wisteria provide a perfect complement.
Photographed at the perfect time of year, this garden is a beautiful, inviting setting, which can be enjoyed from indoors or out.
Woodland Views
According to the Woodland Trust, woodlands now cover 13.2% of the total area of the UK.
If you are fortunate enough to enjoy woodland views from your home, or indeed have trees or wooded areas around your garden, why not make the most of the views?
Oak Garden Room
This oak garden room below, with full height glazing literally brings the garden into the home.
Bi-fold doors enhance this connection, meaning you can continue to enjoy your garden whether indoors or out. This cottage garden in Hertfordshire is like a heavenly green oasis, for which this oak garden room is designed for the homeowner to be able to fully immerse themselves in.
Wonderful Wildflowers
Creating a miniature wildflower meadow is a wonderful way to bring your garden to life.
In this example below in the Cotswolds, the views from the wooden orangery range from wildflowers to beautifully kept lawns and flower beds.
A Luxury Wedding Venue
When it comes to luxury wedding venues, they don’t come much more impressive than the eye-catching Clevedon Hall.
Set within 17 acres of stunning grounds, we were privileged to design and build an orangery to augment the already luxurious wedding facilities. Providing panoramic views, the orangery now brings the outside closer to the inside of this historic property – allowing views of the gardens, whatever the weather.
Garden Living Room
The design of this orangery and surrounding landscaping draws the eye outwards to the garden.
The immaculate garden is beautifully well-kept and is just as visually impressive from the interior of the orangery – this is a garden which deserves to be enjoyed.
That’s just a small selection of some of the magnificent gardens that feature a David Salisbury orangery or garden room.
