Garden Room Used as a Tea Room

22 July 2015

I went to a tea room in Somerset at the weekend, the weather was perfect and we sat in the garden. After having been there for an hour or so, I went inside to where they also have tables set for tea. As I approached the building it dawned on me that this was one of our extensions, Although different from what we make today in many subtle ways, it was an unmistakable pre-2000 vintage David Salisbury Garden Room.

We tend to think of tiled garden rooms as being a more recent addition to our product range, but here it was right in front of me. I looked it up when I got home to find it was built in 1998. Since then we have built more that 8,000 extensions, it is perhaps not surprising to happen upon them now and again.

I was satisfied to see how well the tiled elevation blends perfectly with the pre-existing tiled roof; it looks like it has always been there. The exact location is Cole Manor, Bruton, Somerset. You can see the garden room has pride of place on their Website.

I can recommend the cream tea.
