This bespoke oak orangery has helped to transform this family home in Hertfordshire, creating a space for enjoyment and relaxation, by day or night.
We are often asked to design orangeries or garden rooms to bring in more light to a home and this project was no exception. The full height windows and doors, combined with the overhead roof lantern, provide an abundance of natural light.
The rustic oak orangery was designed to complement and be in-keeping with the existing period property, something the distinctive tiled mansard roof design captures perfectly.
As our customer noted: “It’s the centrepiece of the house where we spend most of our time and we feel it suits the house perfectly.”
This is another eye-catching design from Dan Featherstone, one of David Salisbury’s most creative sales designers, whilst the project was expertly managed by our experienced project manager, Mark Osborne.
A set of bi-fold doors (or sliding doors as they are sometimes known) at the front of the orangery can be opened up to create that inimitable feeling of mixing inside and outside that only comes with an extension such as an orangery or garden room. A further pair of French doors on the left hand side provide additional convenient access out onto the terrace area outside.
The new orangery is now the most used room of the home, something most of our customers often tell us – and this customer’s dog certainly looks to be well at home!
Whether we’re designing a space for family, friends or pets, we will always ask about your lifestyle and how you intend to use your new orangery. David Salisbury’s oak orangeries are all about enjoyment and making memories, regardless of who is at home.
The customer very kindly concluded that: “…we’re very pleased with the orangery. Everyone who sees it compliments the design.”
