Creating partnerships for networking events
27 September 2019
Earlier this week, we held the latest of our regular networking events at our London showroom at The Chelsea Gardener. These are usually hosted in our modern garden room, where we can open up the bi-fold doors and create a nice open and indoor/outdoor setting for a business or private function.
The weather, earlier this week, was not kind to us so we were fortunate enough to be able to host the networking evening in our traditional orangery showroom. With plenty of functional space, this was the perfect environment come rain or shine!
Sponsored by Simonswerk UK, one of our long-standing suppliers, attendees were treated to some delicious canapés, washed down with cocktails served by The Cocktail Lab, which proved extremely popular and a good way to kick start the evening.
Whilst attendance was undoubtedly impacted by the weather, as ever, some extremely interesting connections were made and conversations took place.
From catching up with Popinjay Joinery, to hear the latest about the exciting mix of projects they are working on around London, through to discussing marketing techniques with Espirito Santo Architects, the networking evening had the usual mix of different flavours and topics.
The guest list contained a mix of architects, interior designers, design & build contractors and key trade suppliers.
One firm of architects even travelled all the way down to London from Norwich – they had been following the David Salisbury story via our Instagram and Facebook activity and wanted to see the quality of our product in person. On viewing our orangery and garden room, a definite highlight of the evening was receiving this feedback: “We are incredibly impressed with the quality of your joinery and buildings. Seeing them up close, we can see the level of design and sheer care and attention to detail that has gone into their construction. There’s nothing else that we have seen of comparable quality.”
Praise indeed – so it was time to celebrate with another cocktail and on to the next constructive conversation and more connections to be made.
We will shortly start work on plans for our next networking evening event, alongside another key partner providing sponsorship.
We see this as the essence of a successful networking event. If you’re thinking about expanding your network of industry connections, contact us to register your interest.
