Oakminster Joins the Fold

12 June 2012

On the 1st June 2012, David Salisbury Joinery acquired Oakminster Limited, an independent company based in Darlington. They have been installing timber framed conservatories and orangeries for eight years; purchasing product from David Salisbury’s factory and selling under the Oakminster brand.

We have worked closely with Oakminster since 2004 to build up a presence for our products in the North where Oakminster has delivered a quality service in the best traditions of David Salisbury. The existing self employed sales team will transfer their services to David Salisbury and all new sales made in the North will be contracted directly with David Salisbury. Customers who have bought from Oakminster whose contracts are currently incomplete will have their works completed by Oakminster and be looked after seamlessly by the same personnel they have been dealing with up to now.

This is an exciting new phase for David Salisbury as we now become a national retail brand and the largest supplier of timber framed conservatories in the UK. The Old Oakminster Office in Darlington will be a sub office of David Salisbury and will continue to manage installations in the North.

Hi, I’ve recently purchased a property that includes an existing oakminster orangery. I have all the paperwork for the installation etc, two things I’d like to check, do you maintain the orangery after warranty periods? The doors externally look like water ingress has started to damage the wood around mouldings? Do you keep records on the installations with regard to which company carried out the electrical works within the orangery? With the building control completion certificate there should be an electrical installation certificate and part p installation certificate, the previous owner says he never received one from oakminster. Hopefully you can assist, kind regards Paul Spence
