All the fun of the Listed Property Show!

15 February 2019

Who knew talking about Listed Building projects could be so much fun!? We certainly thought so at last weekend's Listed Property Show at London Olympia, 9th and 10th February 2019, in association with Historic England.

We count ourselves as very fortunate to regularly work on a wide variety of period and historical buildings here at David Salisbury. What was so great about the show was the opportunity to talk to so many owners of listed homes, spread all around the country.

As the only exhibitor at the Listed Property Show who is a member of the Wood Window Alliance, our stand certainly generated a lot of interest from visitors considering replacing their timber windows and doors.

Ready to welcome listed property owners

We’re renown as award-winning makers of orangeries and garden rooms but this show represented a substantial opportunity for us to showcase our market-leading timber windows.

We displayed a mixture of sliding sash and casement windows, manufactured from premium quality timber at our factory in Somerset. Our combination of 3 casement windows in a row, with heritage glass featuring 14mm slimline units was particularly effective at demonstrating our capabilities. The traditional option of ‘through bars’ were displayed alongside our ‘bonded bars’ which help create a slimmer profile.

But it wasn’t just our windows for which we took enquires. Requests for quotes for French Doors, a variety of entrance doors and lantern roofs were also widely received. And, of course, we had plenty of discussions with prospective customers considering extending their home with an orangery or conservatory – obviously an area of particular expertise for David Salisbury.

Don’t worry if you weren’t able to get to the show - we’re offering free planning* for all readers of Listed Heritage Magazine and owners of Listed Buildings. With our planning service, we can advise you on what’s required and we can submit the planning permission application on your behalf, once you have placed your order.
