This family wanted a large, light space for entertaining, that blended well with their large kitchen and looked out over their sweeping gardens.
Our timber and glass construction was designed to echo the open architecture of Elizabethan outbuildings which complements the main house’s Tudor timber frame style.
OAK MANSARD ORANGERY
Ashurst tiles were used with the colour carefully selected to match the existing roof’s age and character, while the understated lantern roof introduces the natural light in this relatively shaded position.
The solid frame was constructed entirely in raw oak and finished with oil and black furniture.
The finished result is a sensitive extension to this historical home.
