Bristol Mansion House Conservatory in Hardwood

Bristol City Council came to David Salisbury with a requirement for a first floor conservatory for the Mansion House building. This house is the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Bristol and is situated in Clifton. The design had to adhere to strict listed building conditions and respect the historical importance and elegance of the Victorian Mansion House.

An existing period conservatory at the Mansion House had reached the end of its life and Bristol City Council was determined that its replacement should retain the traditional appearance.

Careful consultation and thoughtful management meant we were able to create a structure that is both striking and in keeping with the host building.

"David Salisbury was great to work with - truly visionary. It not only enhances our impressive building but this new facility is paying dividends"
