Based in the South East of England
As a Technical Surveyor you will be responsible for taking contracts from order stage through to hand over to the relevant Project Manager highlighting any technical issues along the way.
To enable our Project Managers to run a successful contract on site, you will need to have carried out a technical survey noting all necessary dimensions, ground levels and conditions, drainage, and access. Collecting any additional information required for SAP calculations as well.
Once a survey is complete you will need to produce outline CAD drawings of the site to assist colleagues in producing their drawings for planning and manufacture as well as preparing all documents for HSE – CDM 15 and updating the Company’s bespoke database.
Skills and Experience
· Chartered surveyor, architectural or equivalent qualification or proven industry experience.
· AutoCAD skills with the ability to read technical drawings.
· Knowledgeable on Local Authority Permissions is desirable.
· Strong and effective communication, has gravitas and commands credibility.
· Willing to work flexible hours, travel when required and undertake overnight stays.
Due to David Salisbury Joinery Ltd being a national company, some overnight stays will be required. In return you can expect the latest ICT equipment, Company Car, prepaid accommodation when required and full product training.
We are seeking a bright ambitious Structural Engineer with creative flair, to assist us in developing new ways of solving timber structural issues as well as producing the day to day structural justifications and detailing for our core products using appropriate software packages.
A successful candidate will need to be an independent worker who can take ownership of projects and also work well with the larger team.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of projects assigned to you by the Company. You will take on a project once it has been sold and will then be responsible for managing all on site contractors. In addition, you will be the customer’s main point of contact for all queries and issues and it will be your responsibility to ensure that the Company’s high levels of customer service are maintained.
As David Salisbury’s representative you will also ensure the highest standards of design, quality and customer service while completing the projects to budget costs and to time.
Thorough reporting back to head office will be required to update on progress and you will also be expected to champion health and safety procedures on site. Whilst the work is predominately on domestic properties there will be the possibility of undertaking commercial projects. At any one time you are likely to be responsible for approximately 20 contracts.
This role would ideally suit a Project Manager from a light construction background looking to join a market leader and develop a career. The successful candidate will receive full training and have on-going technical support from our Head Office.

Working in the field, you will be expected to target new business using both warm and cold calling, networking and face to face appointments. You will be responsible for researching and generating leads, identifying sales opportunities, and nurturing customer relationships. You will be expected to organise and attend face to face meetings and deliver presentations outlining the benefits of our products and services.
