David Salisbury is proud to have been commissioned to replace the historic conservatory at the National Trust property of Arlington Court. Yesterday a team of our staff pitched the roof which contained some very large gables and heavy rafters. It took eight men with the assistance of lifting gear to put the new gables in place.
At present with the protective hoarding around it is difficult to see from the picture just how impressive a structure this is, but watch this space to see the next instalment. On the left is the “Before” picture showing the rotting 1970s structure. We are tasked with replacing the 350 pound Heron back on the very top after we have completed.
