What will you be doing this Bank Holiday weekend?
25 August 2017
This August Bank Holiday, or late Summer Bank Holiday as it is also known, is usually something of a milestone as it signals for many the final part of the summer holiday period.
To provide a bit of historical context, this bank holiday does not celebrate any older religious festival – in contrast to the two May bank holidays. One reason that has been suggested was that it was chosen to celebrate a famous cricket match (sounds like a valid reason to us!), but more likely this date was picked to allow people working a final break during Summer before the longer period running up to Christmas, where there are no further public holidays.
Whilst we love nothing better than talking about the weather in this country, one way to spend some family time this weekend, regardless of what it may bring, is in your orangery or oak extension.
Our design philosophy has always been about creating spaces for enjoyment. And a structure such as an orangery or freestanding garden room, gives you that inimitable feeling of both indoors and out that simply can’t be emulated with any other form of building extension.
Taking account of your lifestyle and how you will use your new conservatory, or whatever bespoke timber building we create for you, is just as important to us as the final look it achieves. Whilst we want to cover both aspects equally, we want to enhance your life on a daily basis.
Customers often tell us that they find themselves spending the majority of their time in their new structure, when they’re at home, and this is particularly the case with a bespoke kitchen extension, a trend we wrote about in a blog a few weeks ago.
So whilst this Bank Holiday is a chance for some fun and hopefully an improvement in the weather, relaxing and spending some time in your orangery sounds like a great idea to us. And if you’re feeling inspired to see how others have improved their homes, have a look at some of our recent Case Studies, and then take the first step and request our brochure.
Happy Bank Holiday!
