Home improvement wish list for 2019?
4 January 2019
We hope you all had a wonderfully festive and relaxing Christmas period and have enjoyed a good start to 2019. December saw a really positive finish to the year for David Salisbury, both in terms of new orders and manufacturing output and that momentum has continued into the New Year.
We have been back since Wednesday and have already hit the ground running. January is usually one of our busiest months for new customer enquiries, as home improvement projects are so often conceived during the Christmas period when we are generally at home more than usual.
With a significant influx during and since the holiday break, we are already booking appointments for our sales designers to come out and visit customers as part of our complimentary design service. Certainly if you’re considering a new orangery, garden room or oak extension for Spring/Summer, now is the time to get in touch.
Reaction to our new brochure, which we launched a couple of months ago, has been extremely positive. Over £600,000 has been invested in new manufacturing machinery over the past 12 months alone, ensuring the company is ready continue to retain its lead at the very forefront of orangery and conservatory production here in the UK. Whilst we are still working on the final numbers, 2018 looks like having been our best ever year.
But we’re not resting on our laurels – far from it, as we’re busy designing and manufacturing our award-winning orangeries and garden rooms.
As we start the New Year, it is always a good time to think ahead to what’s on our wish list. We’re not going to comment on our Brexit allegiances (yes, that subject we forgot about over Christmas!) but suffice to say economic stability would be a preferred outcome.
We will be looking to grow our share of the highly competitive oak framed buildings market – we’re working on some new advertising but remain confident our oak orangeries and garden rooms are the best engineered and feature the best quality timber currently being sold in the UK market.
Alongside this, our timber windows and doors business is ripe for growth. Our sash and casement windows are ideal for Listed and period properties and we will be exhibiting just some of our bespoke design capabilities at the Listed Property Show at London Olympia on 9th and 10th February 2019. We’ll be sharing more details on this in due course, but you can register your interest here.
A key trend from the past couple of years, the rise of the orangery kitchen extension, looks set to continue, being a guaranteed way to add value to your property.
So what’s on your 2019 home improvement wish list? A David Salisbury orangery? Replacement timber windows perhaps? Or did Christmas make you realise a bigger kitchen is the first priority!?
