Dave Churches

Technical Manager

Dave Churches joined David as an experienced joiner and wood machinist in 1992. As one of only three employees at the time, he was involved from the start with site fitting as well as wood machining in our small workshop. He went on to run production for many years, gaining management qualifications and seeing a huge expansion along the way.
In 2004, four years after the move to our current factory, Dave left the day to day running of production and took his extensive product knowledge and experience into a new role of technical advisor.
Working as part of a team, he has been a key contributor to the development of new products and product enhancement, and he is also responsible for the company's environmental policies including FSC® and PEFC certification (FSC® C002189).
Dave also plays a key role in client and project management liaison, which has taken him all over the UK, Europe and the USA, notching up many air miles along the way!
His many years of involvement with the company has given Dave a wealth of experience which he uses every day to make improvements to our products and service.

Adrian Fear

Full Stack Software Engineer

Adrian joined David Salisbury as a CAD Technician and Software Developer in 2016. Having worked as a Software Developer for the past 18 years and also having good experience in using CAD, Adrian is now developing software solutions to help model our products in 3D and also increase processing and production times to make us even more efficient.

Adrian previously worked in the Telecoms industry, creating and improving processing solutions to increase efficiency and automating time expensive manual processes. He also has a solid background in software support.

In August 2020, Adrian assumed a new role as Full Stack Software Engineer, a key part of our now expanded Technical Team, working directly with Manufacturing Management.

Hugo Oliveira

Engineering & Facilities Manager

Hugo moved to the UK in 2007, initially working in furniture manufacturing as a CNC operator for 4 years, before joining David Salisbury in the same role in 2011. During these years, Hugo began to show an interest in programming CNC’s, starting with the very basic NC code development to eventually using CAD CAM software. He spent his first 3 years on our CNC machines before going on to run various other machines around our factory.

In 2017 Hugo joined the factory management team before progressing to Production Engineer at the end of that year, where he began working on various projects like PLC programming, CAD, tool designing, machine parts design, machine modification and CNC programming.

In 2019, Hugo took on an additional role of Facilities Manager. In this now expanded role, Hugo is working on upgrading our factory services and improving both our office and factory spaces.
