Dave Churches joined David as an experienced joiner and wood machinist in 1992. As one of only three employees at the time, he was involved from the start with site fitting as well as wood machining in our small workshop. He went on to run production for many years, gaining management qualifications and seeing a huge expansion along the way.
In 2004, four years after the move to our current factory, Dave left the day to day running of production and took his extensive product knowledge and experience into a new role of technical advisor.
Working as part of a team, he has been a key contributor to the development of new products and product enhancement, and he is also responsible for the company's environmental policies including FSC® and PEFC certification (FSC® C002189).
Dave also plays a key role in client and project management liaison, which has taken him all over the UK, Europe and the USA, notching up many air miles along the way!
His many years of involvement with the company has given Dave a wealth of experience which he uses every day to make improvements to our products and service.
Andrew has worked for David Salisbury since 2001 when he started as a skilled wood machinist. He became involved with the technological advances into CNC machining, from operating through to programming and eventually overseeing that department.
Andrew took on the role of Engineering Manager in 2010, which encompasses the management and development of tooling, machinery, existing products and production processes. He is also involved in the design and development of our new products.
With effect from September 2017, Andrew was promoted to Manufacturing Manager, where he will be responsible for ensuring output targets are met and quality remains at an industry high.
