What’s New At Our Chelsea Showroom?

While restrictions on our everyday life continue to slowly ease, there have been a number of constants during the course of this most recent Lockdown. Our orangery showroom has been an inspirational place to visit and The Chelsea Gardener, an “oasis of green in the heart of Chelsea,” has been able to remain safely open.

Garden centres, whilst not being deemed to be essential retail, provide many benefits to our mental health and physical well-being, it has been argued. Certainly we can vouch for the wonderfully calm atmosphere and tranquil environment whenever we visit.

During March, as much of the garden centre Spring stock was being updated by the expert team at The Chelsea Gardener, we took the opportunity for a bit of a spring clean ourselves.

The stunning contemporary grey finish of our timber orangery – Halcyon Grey, from our own unique colour palette – still looks as good now as when it was installed. But we decided to re-paint the interior walls, to give them a little bit of a fresher lift with a lighter paint colour.

In combination with this, the interior layout of the orangery has been completely updated. Inspirational new garden furniture sets are combined with a couple of striking accent colours and mixed with some stunning floral and greenery displays.

The re-styled showroom is sympathetically laid out with a mix of furniture and complementary garden products, without taking anything away from the impact of our timber joinery.

Visiting our orangery showroom is possible any day of the week, as the garden centre is open every day, but we recommend booking an appointment so that we can properly welcome you and show you around.

The orangery itself is the centrepiece of the outside space at The Chelsea Gardener and the distinctive domed roof lantern is a highlight which can’t be missed. Enter the orangery via the central French doors and the natural light flooding in via the dome is the first thing that strikes you. There are additional French doors on each side of the orangery, whilst a number of sliding sash windows can be opened to provide ventilation and further underline the quality of our joinery.

At the other end of the garden centre is our interpretation of a contemporary garden room. The smooth clean lines of this glazed extension provide a modern look and feel, with bi-fold doors that can be fully retracted to cater for indoor/outdoor functions or evening events, when it is safe to do so.

So whether you’re looking for inspirational products and ideas for your garden or you want to see the quality of our orangery and garden room craftmanship first hand, we thoroughly recommend a visit to The Chelsea Gardener at 125 Sydney Street SW3 6NR. With new products and plants constantly being brought onto display, every visit feels different – but the striking visual impact of the central David Salisbury orangery and domed roof lantern remains the same.
