Prior to becoming exclusively involved in designing timber and glass buildings back in 1995, Brian ran his own architectural design practice and construction company in the Yorkshire Dales.

During his nine years with Amdega he was one of the first designers in the industry to move away from the traditional fully glazed roof design to what is now the most popular Garden Room design of all, commonly known as an Orangery.

In 2004 Brian formed his own company trading as Oakminster and became David Salisbury’s appointed distributor and installer in the North of England and North Wales. During the next seven and a half years, Oakminster was responsible for the design and installation of over five hundred David Salisbury manufactured projects.

At the beginning of 2011 Brian and his son Julien agreed to merge their business with David Salisbury.  Brian is still based in the North of England and as one of our senior designers is ready to bring his unrivalled industry experience to your next project.
