Orangeries Look Good On Video!

Whilst this year’s photoshoot season has undoubtedly been affected by the obvious impact of the Coronavirus, one of the advantages of trying to capture the design and influence of an orangery is that it can achieved, in the main, from outside. That said, we always try to mix up photography of both the exterior and interior, where possible, of an orangery to give our prospective customers a real feel for what they can expect from a David Salisbury extension. Where photography will usually achieve this, video has so much more impact.

Watch Our latest Video: Orangery Transforms Somerset Farmhouse

We have been using video as part of our sales presentation drawings for some years now, to allow a customer a photo realistic fly-through of how their potential orangery will look in the context of their home. To be able to shoot video, both on the ground and in the air, of a completed orangery or garden room installation is another addition to our portfolio.

Teaming up with OLCO Studios once again, the recent video shoot we conducted at a beautiful period farmhouse on the edge of the Somerset Levels is one such example. Not only did it yield some nice footage of a bespoke orangery, our customers were only too willing to be involved as well – and we thank them for their kind words and testimonial quotes. The above clips comprise some selected ‘rushes’ or excerpts from the shoot, which will form part of a longer commission.

We’re currently working with OLCO Studios on a series of video content to help tell the story of David Salisbury and what makes us stand out from other joinery businesses in the orangeries and conservatories industry. We had some fun filming at our factory earlier this year, as well as going back to where it all began: to visit David’s home, where he started the business some 35 years ago in a workshop in his garden.

Alongside the recent shoot in Somerset, we have several more locations lined up over the next month or so as we look to pull together these different video stories into a short, consolidated film.

You can stay in touch with our progress via our social media channels and we will keep sharing new video content as and when we have it – the links for which are below.

We might not have the most impartial of views(!) but we do think orangeries look good on video.
