Proven Listed Buildings Expertise

We have often talked in the past about our expertise in successfully working with Listed Buildings but, after careful review of the sheer number of orangery and conservatory projects we have completed in recent years, we can now proudly add some evidence and provenance to this statement.

Here’s a compelling fact for you: we have completed in excess of 800 Listed Building orangery or garden room projects since the turn of the century. Clearly this means we have plenty of experience of not only designing these timber extensions at the concept stage, but we have also have widespread understanding in gaining the relevant consents for these projects.

In order to showcase our expertise in working with Listed Buildings of all different shapes and sizes, all around the country, we have developed two new sections of our website.

Our new Listed Building product page talks about our experience in gaining approvals and some of the criteria that planning officers will take into account. The fact that we solely manufacture in timber, a traditional building material, is an important factor over other materials widely used in the orangeries and conservatories market. It is also of particular importance when considering replacement windows & doors, the specifications of which are vital to get right if the relevant consents are to be obtained.

One of the most popular sections of our website has always been our Case Studies. Prospective customers often like to take a look at these pages to see the sheer variety of projects that we get involved in as a fully bespoke manufacturer. From oak garden rooms to orangery kitchen extensions, there are a huge number of different case studies to give you a flavour of our capabilities – over and above what is in our comprehensive brochure.

In addition, we have now developed a Listed Buildings Case Studies section. Over many years of successful operating, we have become specialists in working with these historically significant buildings. This new section illustrates just a few of these examples, which have helped to transform our customers’ homes – or, some cases, some landmark commercial buildings.

As these new website developments highlight, David Salisbury has almost unparalleled experience in working with Listed Buildings. If you own one of these properties and are thinking of extending it or replacing the timber windows, take a look at these new resources and then contact the experts.
