Exciting Times

We have finally passed the previous peak of sales in 2007 with strong growth this year, giving us the confidence we need for further investment in the future. The current revival of the housing market and construction industry also provides us with additional reasons to believe that the growth will continue.

Domed Orangery Update


It is a few months since I reported on this project which is now very nearly complete. It features three domed roofs and full height sliding sash windows.

Breckenridge Administration

I was shocked but not surprised to hear this morning that Breckenridge Conservatories has entered an insolvency procedure and called a meeting of its creditors. This is the kind of company that gives our industry a bad name. It is less than than five years since an earlier incarnation of this company with the same ownership went down owing a lot of money, only to be reborn days later after a “pre-pack” administration.

Arlington Court Conservatory Finished

The conservatory restoration at The National Trust property of Arlington Court (see earlier posts) has been finished for some time now, but the weather has been so bad for so long that we have not managed to get any photos until now to show it off properly.

More About The Weather

Snow is rare in this area and we make a big deal of it when it comes. Those of you who live in the north or even the east of the country would wonder about the consternation a few inches of snow can causes. People in our northern office can’t believe the fuss we make as of course they get it every year – and worse.Because it’s relatively rare, I can’t resist going out with the camera........
