Refreshing our website & digital presence

Here at David Salisbury, one of the most enjoyable aspects of working on marketing our business is looking at the transformative effect we have on our customers’ homes. Being able to browse through a selection of stunning photography (with each home owners’ permission) is hugely inspiring, whether this be in print or online.

Towards the end of last year, our focus was on developing and launching our new brochure, which was universally well received. At the same time, we updated the look and feel of our print advertising, which now features our strapline: “Award-Winning Orangeries & Garden Rooms.” Alongside this, our marketing focus has also been on our digital or online presence.

We have been steadily growing our Facebook Page followers over the past 12 months or so, to the extent we are now number 1 on Facebook (in terms of Page Likes), at the quality end of the orangery and conservatory market here in the UK. Thanks to everyone that has liked, commented on and shared our news during this time – we look forward to continuing to inspire you!

This week has seen the publication of our website refresh. Featuring a cleaner, more contemporary look, the site now co-ordinates nicely with our new brochure and other offline marketing assets. The new typeface adds to the fresher look which, with the combination of white and grey backgrounds, makes the text easier to read.

We hope you like what you see! Our Products page continues to be important, giving a simple breakdown of the types of the timber and glass building extensions that we design, always on a completely bespoke basis. But to get a real feel for the sheer variety of projects we undertake, our Case Studies section remains the most popular part of our site. This is where we really hope to inspire you with examples of how we don’t just improve homes, we transform them. The ability to be able to sometimes show before and after photos in this format is usually really effective.

We’re certainly not standing still – we’ll carry on tweaking the look and adding new content to our website going forward. New case studies are a regular addition, which we usually share via our social media channels.

Showcasing our best photography

Of course, if Facebook is not your ‘thing,’ we have a presence on plenty of other social networks. We’re growing our following on Instagram, still the fastest growing social platform and a great place to post our very best photography. Pinterest is also a really useful resource for inspiration – take a look at our page and some of the ‘Boards’ (online mood boards effectively) that we have created.

If use LinkedIn as part of your working day, like many of us do, why not follow our LinkedIn company page? As with Facebook, we’re now number 1 in terms of followers, again at the end quality of the orangeries and garden rooms market.
