Transforming Homes Around the Country
15 November 2019
From conservatories in Chester to orangeries in Oxford, from garden rooms in Gerrards Cross to kitchen extensions in Kensington, it is safe to say you are unlikely to ever be far away from a David Salisbury timber extension wherever you are in the country.
Whilst our factory and head office is based in Somerset, we have a nationwide focus. With our recently expanded and strengthened sales designer team, we are now even better placed to provide our industry leading expertise to discerning customers wanting to transform their homes all around the country.
As something of a background task, we have started work on our company history and timeline, which is proving a really interesting exercise. Our founder and chairman, David Salisbury, made his first conservatory in his back garden back in the mid 1980’s – some 35 years later, we have come a long way to become the hi-tech, cutting-edge joinery business we are today.
Back in those early days, deliveries were more regional in terms of location but quickly grew in line with our sales and subsequent manufacturing output.
The vast majority of our business continues to be spread around the mainland UK but, over the years, we have developed long and productive relationships with a number of trade partners, including Parish Conservatories in the USA and the aforementioned Style Group in the Channels Islands.
Aside from geographical spread, another area we have developed market leading expertise in is working with Listed Buildings. Looking recently at the number of successful projects that we have worked on with these historically important buildings, our experience counts in the thousands in terms of total delivered projects.
We will look forward to sharing our company timeline in due course – look out for some fantastic older photos, featuring designs from years gone by, the growth of our business and, of course, some fresher looking faces in some cases(!).
In the meantime, we will continue transforming homes with our orangeries and garden rooms, all around the country.
