Marking the 1st of March
1 March 2019
Where have the first two months of this year gone!? We are already into the third month of the year – of course, the 1st of March also marks the first day of Spring from a meteorological perspective. Whilst we have been all been talking about the weather this past week, we should also say Happy St.David's day to all of our Welsh customers and connections.
Whilst we’re not bitter about the recent rugby result (honestly!), we love any chance to come over the Severn Bridge (which is now toll free for those who have not visited recently) and experience some Welsh hospitality. As part of our nationwide service, we often visit Wales to design and install our award-winning orangeries and garden rooms – head over to our Case Studies section to see examples of projects we have completed in Wales. Check out the view from this conservatory project and read all about this conservatory for a listed farmhouse.
Going back to the weather, we certainly had a feeling of Summer, let alone Spring, earlier this week. Visiting our London showroom orangery at The Chelsea Gardener, we basked in the balmy temperatures of 20 degrees – what an opportunity to open all of the French doors and sash windows and let the warm in.
This time last year we were anything but out and about in shirt sleeves – the cold blast from the Beast from the East and Storm Emma seemed a long time ago when we were enjoying ice creams and meals outside last week.
Of course, one of the many benefits of an orangery or garden room is being able to enjoy their use all year round. With modern glazing and energy efficiency performance designed and built into every one of our bespoke timber extensions, you can be relaxing and living in what will become your favourite room at home, whatever the weather throws at us.
So now meteorological Spring is here, if you’re thinking about improving your home with an orangery or oak framed extension, either of which will bring you even closer to the outside, now is the time to take the first step and request our brand new brochure. Our complimentary design service covers the whole country and we’re ready to visit your home and discuss how we can help transform it.
