Who said business networking had to be boring?

8 March 2019

Business networking events can have a reputation for perhaps being a little dry or even dare one say it, boring. But that’s certainly not the case when we put on regular events at our London showroom at The Chelsea Gardener!

This week’s 'Champagne & Macarons' event, sponsored by Bassines, the innovative makers of fine French copperware for sinks and bathrooms, was no exception. Attended by our friends from Popinjay Bespoke Joinery, the networking event for architects, interior designers and property industry professionals was one in a line of initiatives to help build the profile of Bassines in the UK market as well as, of course, the opportunity for some usual lively chat and debate.

Introducing Bassines to the UK market

The David Salisbury team certainly enjoyed the atmosphere and seeing our garden room showroom being used as such an effective meeting venue.

It was fascinating to talk to the team from Bassines to learn more about how they plan to grow their brand here in the UK. As a pioneering design-lead business, we wish them all the very best.

Much of the discussion we enjoyed was with different architects or interior designers about the quality of our timber windows and doors and how they can be specified in a wide variety of applications from smaller residential projects to larger commercial contracts.

One architect in particular was working with a particularly sensitive restoration project, involving a Listed Building in a Conservation Area. As experts in working with Listed properties, we talked about the heritage glass and slimline units available with our sash windows and casement windows, something we displayed at the recent Listed Property Show. The architect was obviously impressed as our windows specifications were sent in for tender submission the very next day!

Saying thanks & au revior to Fabienne!

As a final note, we couldn’t finish this Blog without saying a big thanks to Fabienne Boixel, who has been the driving force behind the success of the evening events we have been co-hosting at our modern garden room showroom. As she moves onto a new challenge, the David Salisbury Team wish her will and hope “it is not goodbye, it's just au revoir!"
