Wooden Orangery Extension on Listed Property in Bristol

Client's Comment:

"Now I can relax in the garden without setting foot outside."

This beautiful period house in Bristol is listed and rich in original features. We were asked to take careful account of this when proposing a new addition. The traditional orangery we created respected its historical context and added light and a spacious room to the older property.

It is constructed with three separate lantern roofs, which allows a low profile with a large light roof area. Internally the ceiling surrounding the glazed lanterns is panelled evoking the period of the property. The lantern roofs complement the interior lighting and provide a warm ambience.

David Salisbury completed the whole project from the initial design through to completion, including planning permission and listed building consent.
