Supply Chain

The David Salisbury Supply Chain department incorporates the Purchasing, Stores and Dispatch Teams. We utilise a bespoke MRP system to manage the source of materials, procurement, inventory management and physical logistics.

The purchasing team have responsibility for the procurement of raw materials, vendor parts and sub contracted services directly related to our finished products. Simultaneously, they seek opportunities to improve the reliability of supply and quality of the goods we purchase.

The stores team control inventory management.  From initial goods receipt to the point of use, it is essential they maintain accurate stocks and optimum stock levels to ensure product availability. This supports manufacturing operations and fulfilment of Customer Orders.

The physical logistics of preparing and packaging products and its subsequent delivery is managed by the dispatch team. Whether it is the transportation of finished goods to the customer, or the movement of goods to and from sub contract suppliers, this is managed by the dispatch team utilising David Salisbury’s own fleet of vehicles.

Jonathan Rogers

Supply Chain Manager

Jonathan joined David Salisbury in March 2014. Previously he had worked within the Aerospace Industry for 26 Years working in Production Planning & Supply Chain Management. Jon has responsibility for the Procurement, Stores & Despatch functions.

His role focuses on securing and strengthening our supply base, seeking opportunities to improve product quality, maintaining stock availability and ensuring the timely delivery of finished product to our customers. He has assembled a strong Supply Chain Team to support these objectives.

Amy Bishop

Stores Leader & Senior Buyer

Amy has been working at David Salisbury since August 2015, and Is about to begin her CIPS Diploma (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), in order to further her career as a buyer.

She loves every aspect of her job, particularly the variety of work that arrives on her desk every day. Everything from ordering company vehicles, to clothing and stationery, to ordering contract specific items, such as glass and timber.

Outside work Amy loves cars and anything to do with engines, spending most of her weekends tinkering or racing. This has been a passion ever since she was 10 years old.

Joined David Salisbury in October 2016 as a buyer looking to enhance his career in procurement, having previously worked as a buyer for two years in the retail industry.
What Joe enjoys most about his role is the variety as this includes ordering everything from specific contract items to dealing with company vehicles, staff clothing & stationery.
Outside of work, Joe is passionate about sport – he is a qualified football referee and a massive Brighton & Hove Albion fan.
