After a spell working in London for a specialist marketing consultancy, Barney began his career in the home and interiors industry with the luxury kitchen company Chalon UK, manufacturers and retailers of handmade kitchens here in Somerset.
More recently he was in charge of sales & marketing at the Old Creamery and Creamery Kitchens in Yeovil and developed his skills in both consumer and trade marketing.
He joined David Salisbury in June 2017 as Marketing Manager, adding value to their existing marketing activity by exploiting the very latest digital marketing media. Having overseen the broader Commercial Sales department with effect from July 2018, whilst continuing to lead the company’s marketing function, Barney became Head of Marketing & Business Development in August 2019. Developing and implementing our marketing strategy remains Barney's core task, but the increasing requirement to grow business via trade, commercial and partner opportunities is a fundamental objective that spans both marketing and business development.
