In simple terms a Garden Room is a Conservatory with a tiled roof.
The roofing materials will produce design constraints as different materials have different minimum roof pitches. A Conservatory can have a roof pitch as low as 15° but as a ‘rule of thumb’, a Garden Room has to comply with the following constraints;
- Hand made clay tiles – minimum roof pitch 40°
- Machine made clay tiles – minimum roof pitch 35°
- Slates – minimum roof pitch 25°
