Twenty Eight Years Experience

Gothic ConservatoryDavid Salisbury has built an enviable reputation for the manufacture and installation of hardwood conservatories. From the outset the watchword  was quality and this remains true today. While in the beginning many components were entirely hand made, today millimeter perfect components are factory produced to ensure a precise fit every time. The flexibility of our factory, has meant that automation has increased rather than reduced the range of designs and products we can produce. Our bespoke design service allows us to create both traditional and contemporary wooden conservatories, resulting in a unique addition to any home. Make sure you view all the photo galleries for conservatories and orangeries to get the best feel for what might work for you.

A conservatory in wood gives a timeless feeling of quality, which will always be appreciated. lean-to timber conservatory with large gable David Salisbury Conservatories provides detailed technical and design consultation all along the way. This starts with with local authority planning applications and listed building consent where required, alongside extensive help with the design. Owners of listed buildings are often concerned as to whether they will get permission, however we have built conservatories on literally hundreds of listed buildings, and can offer in-depth advice on the best way to proceed. We use high quality hardwood timber framing and the very latest production technology.

Whether you are improving a modern house or extending a period property, you can expect the same consistent quality from David Salisbury. If you are looking for traditional conservatories we can offer you a wide choice, anything from a simple lean-to through to an  ambitious Victorian or Edwardian design. The flexibility in David Salisbury's manufacturing processes means that we can also create the clean contemporary designs that work well with modern properties.

Large Four Valley Conservatory One of the particular features of contemporary conservatory design is the use of sliding folding doors (also known as bi-fold doors). David Salisbury has developed a bespoke system to deliver this design feature in the same styles and quality as the rest of the joinery. With our contemporary and commercial conservatories, home and business owners can push the limits of their design to compliment a whole range of different building styles. With over twenty eight years of experience designing and installing quality conservatories for the domestic and commercial market, David Salisbury is well placed to work with you to create a unique new living space for your home.

Arlington Court National Trust ConservatoryThe rebuilt conservatory at the National Trust Property at Arlington Court in Devon is shown to the right. This is somewhat out of the ordinary for us as it is a stand alone greenhouse rather than a timber and glass extension. It was a fascinating project that has been featured on our Blog in its various stages of build. The photo shows the completed first phase which is the central section, reproduced from photos of the Edwardian built conservatory. We have copied in appearance but it is made with the benefit of modern techniques. Eventually it is planned to add back the two wings to recreate the whole building in its full glory. The whole team at David Salisbury got great pleasure out of this project and we look forward to seeing it blossom later this year.
